Overview
ProSphere is seeking a Junior-Level Asset Manager with at least 2 years of related experience managing IT Assets on behalf of Government customers to include, inventory management, asset tracking, asset deployment, software & license management, and asset disposal. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree. Degree may be substituted with 6 additional years of related experience. This is a full- time position located in Washington, DC. Responsibilities
- Maintain the accuracy of all assets in the Service Management System.
- Manage access to all assets following Federal Government policies and guidelines.
- Manage a small team of resources dedicated to the management of software and hardware assets.
- Maintain and monitor Government-Furnished end user software licenses and maintenance agreements.
- Manage and document all received hardware and software assets.
- Prepare Shipments and Customer Support (Tier2)
- Review Remedy/ServiceNow Asset queue for equipment shipping requests (including requests from Tier 2 and Refresh teams)
- Create shipping labels from FedEx website
- Verify contents and pack equipment
- Deliver to mailroom/FedEx drop box
- Close related tasks
- Fulfill equipment requests for from Tier 2 technicians
- Update CRQs with requested Configuration Items (CIs)
- Update Personal Property Hand Receipt (PPHR) app for users to sign upon receiving equipment
- Serves as front line Asset Management and manage service request tickets for consumables
- Process loaner machine requests
- Tracking Shipments
- Ensuring delivery/receipt of items
- Follow up for customer receipt and tracking returns
- Receiving
- Receive and inventory assets/items ordered via purchase order/credit card
- Inventory of returned assets, user profile update (disassociate from user/close related tasks) and return to COE or OA stock
- Breaking down boxes
- Excess management (disposal)
- DOT Warehouse Operations (Asset Management)
- Maintain updated location identification of stock
- Maintain inventory of assets held at warehouse (End user and Infrastructure)
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to retrieve assets to be transported to HQs
Qualifications
- Must have at least 2 years of related experience managing IT assets to include, delivery and staging, asset tracking, asset deployment, license management, and asset disposal.
- Bachelor’s degree. Degree may be substituted with 6 additional years of related experience.
- Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience with document editing tools such as MS Office software, screen capture software, graphics packages, VISIO, etc.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills
- Experience working in a Department of Transportation (DOT)-related environment desired
- Ability to work overtime required on occasion
- Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time
- Ability to deliver quality and timely contract documentation
- Able to obtain and hold a Federal Public Trust clearance
- Prior experience utilizing a Service Management System such as Remedy to track assets
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, self-starter and maintains positive attitude
- Ability to work at government location in SW, Washington, DC
Physical Demands
- Typical office enviornment. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 5-20lbs.
