The DE&I Specialist will be responsible for supporting Protective’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy across the organization by leveraging internal and external partnerships with business leaders, key stakeholders, HR COE leaders and Protective Foundation. The DE&I Specialist will help to drive and support awareness, understanding and engagement across the organization related to Protective’s diversity and inclusion efforts.
Role & Responsibilities:
The DE&I Specialist will work within the DE&I COE team to develop strategies that align with Protective’s business goals and values.
Assist in consulting business leaders and HRPs with department level areas of focus and action items for diversity, equity and inclusion Create and implement DE&I internal and external communications in partnership with Corporate Communications and the Corporate Brand Team
Manage content, analysis, and distribution of quarterly dashboards in partnership with the People Analytics team
Manage YOY DE&I roadmap including execution of assigned initiatives and monitoring the execution and performance of initiatives assigned to other COEs
The DE&I Specialist will lead the efforts to build, grow and develop internal and external partnerships with industry specific groups and key community partners.
Lead diversity, equity and inclusion outreach and engagement activities in partnership with Business Leaders, HR Partners, Talent Acquisition and Protective Foundation
Lead research and development efforts around the diversity, equity and inclusion external landscape, remaining up to date on emerging topics and opportunities
The DE&I Specialist will provide project management support to the DE&I COE team by assisting with a broad variety of people, culture and talent focused programs.

Knowledge/Experience/Education/Training:
Undergraduate degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources or related field
3 years of experience partnering and working strategically with cross-functional teams to deliver overall solutions and adoption
3 years of Human Resources, Project Management, Relationship Management, Business Development or related experience
Proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
Experience working in a corporate or professional environment
Outstanding communication (verbal, written and listening) and presentation skills
Strong organization, planning, prioritization and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively drive to execution
