ECG Technician

Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiac diagnostic evaluations including electrocardiograms (ECGs), stress tests, and Holter monitoring.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Apply electrodes and sensors to the patient's chest, arms, and legs to obtain accurate readings.
- Operate ECG equipment and monitor the patient's vital signs during the procedure.
- Recognize and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during testing.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide accurate reports.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, test results, and procedures performed.

Skills:
- Proficient in performing cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Knowledge of sonography techniques for diagnostic purposes.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to cardiology and cardiovascular diseases.
- Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation levels.
- Strong understanding of human physiology and anatomy as it relates to the cardiovascular system.
- Skilled in maintaining aseptic technique during procedures to prevent infection.

EKG technicians are responsible for setting up and maintaining EKG equipment, performing cardiovascular tests, identifying heart conditions, and ensuring patients are always comfortable and informed.

EKG technicians will need to attend to patient needs and thus require patience and caring nature.
