A proven technical background in multiple facets of geoscience is required. We are interested in those who are self-starters with initiative and who are versatile with a service mentality.
The Geologist II position is one of considerable responsibility and opportunity that requires the successful candidate to independently manage multiple projects and perform assigned tasks with a variety of involvement from other Providence staff members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead field activities for soil and groundwater assessments to identify contamination impact and related concerns; drilling oversight; soil logging; monitoring well installation, well development, purging, and sampling; and aquifer testing
· Perform site investigations
· Conduct remediation oversight
· Interpret data Design, implement and manage various soil and groundwater investigations and remedial projects
· Conduct environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting
· Perform data analyses including preparing maps, tables, and figures
· Manage projects including scoping, budget development, and monitoring. Draft technical proposals
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience
· Professional Geoscientist (P.G.) Certification required
· Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, Education, Earth Science, Geoscience, Environmental Sciences, or related field required
· At least seven years of related experience in consulting, such as sampling, hydrogeologic testing, and other field techniques, interpretation of hydrogeologic-related data, or other related experience
· Experience with environmental due diligence and regulatory compliance projects
· Assessment/remediation experience
· Groundwater monitoring and reporting
· Statistical analyses of groundwater data
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and governmental agencies.
