VMware Technical Architect

We are seeking an experienced VMware Technical Architect to design and build IT strategies and cloud configurations, provide security infrastructure solutions, and create technical roadmaps for our client's Virtual desktop environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), cloud-based solutions, end-user computing security, and Microsoft O365 tool support.

Top Responsibilities:

• Design and construct IT strategies, cloud configurations, and related services.
• Deliver security infrastructure solutions for client's virtual desktop environments.
• Formulate recommendations to leadership and create technical road maps to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and to improve the environment's performance and stability.
• Offer expert-level design, configuration, and support of VMware Horizon architecture that sustains 1200 end-users' hybrid work environment.
• Monitor technological advancements to ensure the continuous improvement, support, and alignment of solutions with VMware best practices, client's standards, and security requirements.
• Collaborate with the Technical Services Section and technical business partners to ensure effective integration of information systems and IT infrastructure.
• Generate Visio diagrams, including all components, interfaces, and connectivity connections as needed to precisely define the architecture of the existing VMware Horizon environment.
• Produce necessary documentation for the teams that deploy and support the VDI hybrid work environment.
• Perform complex work that is crucial to the organization's support with minimal supervision and wide latitude for independent judgment.

Requirements:

Top 4 Requirements:

• Possession of VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) or VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) certification, preferably the VCAP-DTM Deploy track.
• Expertise in technical design of VMware Horizon View and security authentication using Universal Access Gateways.
• Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory services and tools.
• Expert knowledge of multifactor authentication services.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 7-10 years of experience in VMware architecture and implementation, with proven track record and technical skills in VDI, cloud-based solutions, end-user computing security, and Microsoft O365 tool support.
• Client-focused with strong leadership and communication skills, and a passion for delivering innovative solutions.
• Understanding of the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the VMware Horizon environment, with ability to evaluate the impact of changes or additions.
• Ability to analyze systems and perform usability testing to ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and compliance with client standards and security requirements.
• Proficiency with VMware vSphere, MS Office products including Visio, OSI model, and ITIL.

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
