We are seeking a Clinic Supervisor - Mercantile Clinic that will oversee and develop clinical and non-clinical staff: Works in close collaboration with the Nursing Quality Supervisor to ensure development and competency of clinical staff. Mentors and develops all staff members. Supports Patient Centered Medical Home teams, removing barriers and promoting excellent patient care. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Providence Health & Services mission and philosophy.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of daily non-clinical operations in the clinic (i.e., appointments, patient flow, medical records, and registration/reception) and workflows supporting clinical staff not involving clinical decision making
- Assign duties to clinical and non-clinical staff
- Develop and implement the daily work schedule
- Coordinate back-up staffing, as needed
- Participate in all components of staff hiring (interview, selection, hiring, on-boarding, orientation, training and supervision) i.e., Patient Relations Representatives, Medical Assistants, and Clinical Care Coordinators, performance evaluation, competency testing (with Nursing Quality Supervisor), staff development and motivation, promoting employee recognition
- Coach employees on performance. Initiates disciplinary processes as required by policy, documenting and delivering corrective action when necessary
- Final corrective action and disciplinary process could include termination
- All disciplinary process must be conducted along with Clinic Manager involvement
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position includes:
- Bachelor's Degree -OR- a combination of education and applicable work experience
- Two (2) years experience in a progressive role in a clinic setting
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Preferred qualification for this position includes:
- Health care management college level coursework
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records, Windows and Excel-based software
