Description:

Providence is calling a Director Home Health (HHC Skilled Nursng Adults, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Home Health Care in Anchorage, AK. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:

RESPONSIBLE FOR EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP, DIRECTION, AND MANAGEMENT FOR ALL HOME HEALTH-ALASKA OPERATIONS

  • Maintain administrative control and designates the lines of authority and responsibility for all Home Health -Alaska functions including delegation of duties in the absence of Director.
  • Provide operation oversight through active collaborations , guidance, and leadership to Home Health management leadership team .

PROVIDES LEADERSHIP FOR COMMUNITY RELATIONS:

  • Establish and maintains positive, strategic relationships with appropriate health care, business, and community organizations, regional and national industry partners, legislators and funding sources.
  • Provide leadership in publicly promoting and representing Home Health-Alaska mission and services of Providence organizations.
  • Educate and advocates on the impact of service access, service delivery, needs, new trends and issues with implications for changes required at the local, state, national levels to assure responsive ability to meet the population care needs.

PROVIDES MISSION INSPIRED LEADERSHIP WITH CATHOLIC HEALTH CARE SYSTEM:

  • Provide leadership in articulation, modeling and inspiring commitment and congruence of all responsibilities with the mission and core values of Providence.
  • Advance teachings of Catholic Health Care utilizing the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare as a framework for all operations and strategies.

PROVIDES ADVOCACY, STRATEGIC PLANNING, LEADERSHIP AND COORDINATION OF SERVICES FOR HOME HEALTH ALASKA:

  • Provide leadership for the development , coordination, and implementation of annual and long range strategic plans.
  • Budget for Home Health -Alaska with accountability for accomplishing operating commitments.

PROVIDES LEADERSHIP FOR THE DELIVERY OF QUALITY SERVICES:

  • Provide leadership for the continuous quality improvement of all programs and services utilizing established outcome measures.
  • Provide vision for high quality services and programs.
  • Facilitate collaborative planning with clinical and quality leaders for developing , implementing, and evaluating quality services within the scope, mission, short and long term strategic goals.
  • Provide leadership to ensure processes are in place to provide quality services

PROVIDES LEADERSHIP THROUGH COLLABORATION MODELING:

  • Fosters collaboration between multi-disciplinary personnel, physicians, hospitals, and other community providers to facilitate desired quality care outcomes.

PROVIDES LEADERSHIP SURROUNDING COMPLIANCE AND REGULATORY METRICS :

  • Assure systems are in place for compliance of all operations with applicable federal/state laws ,regulations, standards and payor standards

PROVIDES LEADERSHIP AND COLLABORATION FOR EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lead development of long range and annual budgets , with stewardship accountability for management of organization within Providence approved budget metrics.
  • Collaborate with Region CFO as well as system finance team to implement fiscal administrative policies and management activities including budget control, cost determination, fee setting and collections, in accordance with accounting principles.
  • Provide financial reports to advisory and governing bodies , regulatory entities, and others as required

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in RN, PT, OT, SLP, or HCA related field
  • Five (5) years Senior Leadership in Progressive Health Care , preferably Home Health/Hospice
  • One (1) year Community Advisory or Governance Boards
  • Two (2) years Clinical Experience in Home Health or Hospice in area of specialty
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Certified Nurse Assistant in the state of Alaska.
  • Current BLS from American Heart Association.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in Business, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology or related health field
