This position is remote and can sit in the footprint of Providence in the states of AK, WA, OR, CA, NM, TX and MT. Some travel will be required for this position.
The Principal Engineering Program Manager will work with their Engineering counterparts to define and design solutions and services that delight caregivers and add value to Providence. The scope of this role is both broad (across a business unit) and deep (in terms of technical, process and continuous improvement required to develop and build enterprise wide IS services). Their responsibilities span the life of the solution or service and include collaboration with Engineering and business stakeholders, engaging with caregivers, working with Engineering to define the solution or service, managing the release, establishing the solution/service's identity in the ecosystem, and connecting with and supporting the caregiver community. This role will work in a fast-paced environment, have constant demands for on time delivery, and will require understanding our customer needs, analysis and design, strong problem resolution, decision making, communication and partnering skills. Collaborating with the business, fellow IS organizations, and the project teams will be critical for success.
As part of the Caregiver Technology Experience team, the Principal Engineering Program Manager role will have an emphasis on the following:
- Focus on the interaction of “hands-on” technology, applications and delivery systems with an emphasis on the clinical caregiver experience.
- Working across all IS pillars represent the needs of clinical caregivers dealing with the magnitude and quality of IS technology initiatives.
- Create comprehensive and synergistic solutions across individual programs and projects.
- Help assure alignment of IS strategies and projects with business direction and needs.
- Provide services that prevent unintended consequences and help “ease the way” of Clinical Caregivers dealing with impacts due to technology change.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering. Or equivalent education/experience.
- 8 years Related experience; 8-12 years preferred.
- Extensive experience leading and delivering large and complex programs across multiple teams, creates environment for successful collaboration, effective management of executive stakeholders, drives resolution of complex issues and roadblocks, inspires and leads quality project delivery.
Preferred qualifications:
- 3 years of IT Project Management experience
- 3 Experience in a Healthcare environment
