What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resource Coordinators position at Providencia Group?
DHSCM resource coordinators coordinate with federal, state, local and non-governmental partners to identify resource providers to whom case managers can refer disaster survivors for unmet needs. Additionally, DHSCM resource coordinators work throughout the duration of the MATO to develop and maintain an updated list of available resources to ensure that disaster survivors are referred to active resources.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
DHSCM resource coordinators must have a minimum of an Associate’s degree and one year of professional experience. H.2.4.3.1 DHSCM Resource Coordinator Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
COMMUNICATION:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via oral and written means. Ability to present a reassuring and positive demeanor to individuals, their families, staff, supportive services personnel, and the general public.
COMPOSURE:
Ability to remain calm and maintain self-control in the midst of difficult circumstances and emergencies. Ability to respond in a professional manner in all situations.
COMPUTER: Working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel; ability to navigate websites, compile and aggregate resources; PowerPoint and Access a plus. 45 words per minute, 90% accuracy.
