Role
Supporting new and existing customer, we are looking for a Pre-Sales Consultant to help drive customer delivery with a primary focus on supporting the product and market elements of the sale. Our customers and prospects are custodians (global and local), banks, brokers, and issuer agents who have global proxy voting requirements.
You will work with the Pre-sales, Product and customer onboarding teams to build new customer relationships from a defined target list of opportunities with an initial focus on European intermediaries.
Your efforts to ensure adoption of the Proxymity platform, will require close collaboration with all Proxymity business functions, including senior management, business development, legal, product, marketing, operations, and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Gain a deep understanding of Proxymity's products and services and the eco-system they work within
- Set up and conduct product demos and solution presentations independently to customers at all levels (including C level).
- Prepare proposals and quotations, responding to RFIs and RFPs
- Act as an advisor to our sales and relationship teams in presentations and sales activities and identifying professional services opportunities
- Present standard services & designing customised elements of solutions within agreed bounds
- Lead business and technical client workshops and POCs
- Effectively document and communicate customer needs to the product and onboarding teams for product enhancements and to ensure an efficient and accurate onboarding.
- Run and manage customer workshops and demonstrations to explore technical and business aspects of an opportunity with customers and Proxymity sales teams
- Issue and objection handling
- Detailed prospect requirements capture, accurately and frequently updating the company's CRM platform to ensure effective and efficient collaboration with others.
- 10 years of experience working as a sales engineer or technical sales space or similar customer facing experience
- Experience working in the FinTech sector is preferred and selling enterprise software to financial services companies.
- Knowledge of the corporate actions and proxy voting ecosystem- advantage.
- Logical problem definition and analysis (flowcharting or other diagramming experience useful)
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills and the ability to understand and communicate business value effectively
- Experience in working in cross-functional, multinational teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Flexibility to travel within Europe and ability to work in a multinational and multi-cultural environment
- Proven track record in conducting demos and C level presentations -advantage
- Proven track record in preparing proposals, RFI/RFP responses -advantage
- BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance/Banking or Business Management - beneficial.
