PRT IFCO has capacity to grow and sell more than 630 million seedlings across our 28 nurseries located throughout Canada and the USA.
The Junior Accountant is responsible for providing support to the accounting team by completing daily accounting and finance related tasks. The Junior Accountant will perform data entry, account reconciliations, compile and complete statutory reports and other financial documents. The ideal candidate will be a CPA student actively pursuing their designation with 1-3 years of accounting related experience.
Qualifications
What you need for this position with PRT IFCO:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field
- A minimum of one-year experience in an office accounting environment
- Knowledge of basic accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Meticulous attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and organization skills
- Strong excel, word, outlook and accounting software experience, knowledge of LEAN methodology is an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive and self-motivated
- Ability to communicate tactfully, efficiently and effectively with all levels of staff and external parties
