Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of design as well as production of complete sets of construction details and submittal reviews.
• Site visits as required on projects focusing on transportation and infrastructure assignments.
• Provide technical design and direction of projects.
• Plan and delegate staff assignments for project completion
• Collaborate with headquarters and other regional offices within the PS&S Building Group team members to achieve quality results for clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture at a Bachelor’s/master’s level from an accredited architectural school.
• Registered Architectural License in New York a plus.
• 6-12 years of architectural design and management experience in a NY based consulting firm.
• Knowledge of materials and construction techniques
• Proficient in detailing and organizing construction documents.
• Familiar with all phases of design and construction
• Extensive experience in applying standards and building code requirements to designs.
• LEED accreditation a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in the use of 2D/3D software, including Revit, AutoCAD ensuring compliance with design standards.
• Demonstrated project management abilities a plus.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Requires excellent leadership and organizational management skills including advanced communications skills – both verbal and written.
