Lead Logistics Coordinator
La Porte, TX
PSC Group is now hiring a Lead Logistics Coordinator inside a chemical plant in La Porte, TX! This is an essential role in supporting our in-plant operations with coordinating inbound/outbound shipments through truck and rail operations, providing customer service, and tracking material movements in our transportation systems.La Porte, TX
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday with occasional weekends (Rotating Day/Evening shift)
Pay Range: $19.00-$23.00 an hour
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Communicate with Site Supervisor and/or Foreman on production schedules.
- Participate in safety/tailgate meetings
- Prepare all associated paperwork/labeling for each day’s production schedule.
- Monitor and coordinate inventory for inbound/outbound shipments for truck and rail operations
- Ensure paperwork is completed accurately according to work schedule and instructions from supervision.
- Communicate with truck drivers upon arrival to the site.
- Provide rail crew with daily switch list
- Assist operations with product and raw material quality checks.
- Conduct physical product inventory cycle counts and reconcile with SAP.
- Identify the need and assist in procedure revisions.
- Provide training to new and existing PSC employees in accordance with customer and PSC standards, policies, and procedures.
- Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
- Experience leading a team is a plus
- Must have experience working in SAP or logistics management system
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards and be safety conscious at all times
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Stable work history with good references from past employers
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
