Description
PSECU, a high-tech progressive financial institution with more than $8 billion in assets, is seeking a Data Analyst - Risk. This role at PSECU is a dynamic position responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting data to support the organization's decision-making process. The ideal candidate is proficient in Power BI or similar data visualization tools, has a deep understanding of data validation techniques, and is knowledgeable in statistics and mathematics. In this role, the individual will work closely with various stakeholders to gather requirements, perform descriptive analysis, formulate hypotheses, and deliver accurate reports, metrics, and dashboards. Additionally, the Data Analyst II will assist with project requirements, data modeling, and training of junior analysts and business users. This is a dynamic and collaborative role that requires strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of data sources and metrics. This individual will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and integrity of Risk Management data sources, reports, and dashboards and research data and process-related issues. This individual identifies opportunities to optimize analytics & operational processes and assists with planning & execution.
The Data Analyst performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
This position will be a hybrid model of both in person and remote with the minimum onsite expectation of 20%, or as needed. #LIHybrid
Minimum Starting Pay Rate: Commensurate with Experience
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Essential for this position:
- Gather requirements for reporting and analysis and document end products.
- Understanding of PSECU’s data sources and high-level metrics.
- Understanding of fundamental data visualization, querying, and reporting skills.
- Proficient in Power BI or similar tool (Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Understanding of various data validation techniques.
- Deliver, validate, and present accurate reports, metrics, and dashboards to departmental management.
- Understanding of statistics and mathematics (mean, median, mode, standard deviation).
- Assist with project requirements and initiatives.
- Perform descriptive analysis on internal and external datasets.
- Collaborate with other analysts, subject matter experts, department managers, business intelligence, and data management teams.
- Formulate hypotheses and identify relevant data source(s).
MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Minimum Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Data Analytics, Business Management, or related field,
And 2-4 years’ experience in Data Analytics or Risk Management,
Or any equivalent combination of experience and education.
