- Deliver pre-referral consultation and intervention services in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Participate in Student Assistance Teams.
- Participate in the evaluation and decision-making activities relative to the Evaluation Team Report Process for students with suspected disabilities (e.g., Learning Disabilities; Intellectual Disabilities; Emotional Disturbances; etc.).
- Participate in Student Assistance Teams and contribute to creating Evaluation and IEP Teams for students with suspected disabling conditions (e.g., Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Emotional Disturbances, etc.)
- Develop and implement interventions to support students' academic and emotional needs.
- Coordinate data collection and preparation of Evaluation Team Reports.
- Provide individual/small group counseling for students to address social, emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns.
- Lead skill training programs with students to foster more appropriate social, emotional, behavioral, and academic skills.
- Consult with teachers and other staff regarding appropriate educational practices that enhance achievement and promote healthy adjustment.
- Participate in periodic professional development programs offered by PSI, school districts, and other related agencies.
- Benefit from ongoing consultation with administrative and professional supervisors including participation in site visits, in accordance with policies outlined by PSI and the Ohio Board of Psychology.
- Adhere to appropriate professional codes of ethics (e.g., OSPA, NASP, etc.)
Job Requirements
- Masters in Psychology (Clinical, Child, or Social)
- Intervention Specialist License Issued by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE)
- Board Licensing provides increased work flexibility, but is not a minimum requirement.
