The selected candidate will work a hybrid schedule consisting of 80% of work remotely and 20% onsite in Atlanta, Georgia.

We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of ServiceNow Configuration Specialis t . The ServiceNow Configuration Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying ServiceNow solutions. They will work with clients and team members to understand requirements and develop elegant solutions that meet those needs. The ServiceNow Development Consultant must have a strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform and experience in web application development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and AJAX. The ServiceNow Development Consultant will be responsible for directing a junior developer in how to support the platform over the long term.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze the current environment and propose automation whenever possible
- Coordinate upgrades and changes to the ServiceNow instance
- Managing permissions and access (roles, users, and groups)
- Troubleshoot day-to-day operation and system issues
- Work with the ServiceNow support team to resolve issues
- Setting up notifications, scheduled reports, and alerts
- Maintain Service Catalog and Service Level Management.
- Participation in requirement gathering phase to provide time estimation to client needs.
- Create and update the existing configuration documentation.
- Perform platform upgrades, and review skipped updates due to upgrade.
- Implement best practices in coding and design as per ServiceNow standards and community guidelines.
- Follow the ITIL process to develop solutions
- Find opportunities to automate and enhance the end-user experience.
- Scripting in various areas (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Access Control Lists, UI Policies, Portal Pages, UI Pages).
- Writing code using JavaScript, HTML, Angular, CSS, and AJAX.
- Develop integrations with 3rd party tools or ServiceNow modules
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IT service delivery concepts and technology platforms which include, telecom, network, infrastructure, software, and cybersecurity
- Ability to convert business logic into functioning code
- Experience facilitating analysis and planning processes with non-IT (business stakeholders) operations
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems issues without supervision
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, with the ability to work across all departments
- Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 Years of working experience with ServiceNow modules like Service Portal, HR Service Delivery, HR Onboarding and Transitions and ITSM is an added advantage
- A minimum of 4 years experience with ServiceNow app development.
- 3 to 5 years of development experience with creating simple/complex customer-facing web or mobile applications is a plus
- Basic level understanding of ServiceNow Platform & its capabilities are required
- Understand the business needs and the needs to standardize processes and build this into the design. and being able to transform customer requirements into a high-level (architectural) solution or supporting model
- Good understanding of service-oriented architecture, software application architecture, and the ability to consult with customers about these topics
- Experience with web technologies JavaScript, ES5 , HTML, CSS/SCSS, SQL. Experience in one or more JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS or React is a plus
- Knowledge of web-based protocols and standards (Web services, SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML)
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified as ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA)
- Certified as ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD)
- Development and deployment experience
