PSS Industrial Group is seeking a strong, talented, and motivated individual with the right qualifications to fill the role of Outside Technical Sales – PSSI Airtech in our Shared Services headquarters in Houston, Texas. This is a full-time exempt position that will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager.
Position: Outside Sales Rep Division: Manufacturing
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Outside Technical Sales Representative is responsible for developing relationships with customers and growing accounts in their territory through the promotion and selling of the organization's product lines to industrial, commercial, and government entities. The primary focus will be the Airtech product line, but all PSSI product lines are to be presented to current and prospective customers. This position requires exercising independent judgment to perform the responsibilities described herein and does require routine travel. Responsibilities:
- Routine sales travel to visit new and existing customers and attend trade shows
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities using available sources
- Provide customer support by responding to customer inquiries and requests
- Partner with current customers to ascertain current needs and generate additional sales
- Work closely with marketing to recognize & promote Sales opportunities
- Work with operations providing all relevant information to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Ensure that databases and spreadsheets are current and updated with accurate customer and order information
- Routinely pull and reference system reports for additional sales opportunities
- Execute timely preparation of all expense reports and assigned projects
- Keep management and sales team informed of all relevant activity
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the blast and paint industries
- Self-starter, motivated, team-focused, and results-driven
- Strong presentation, organizational, and time management skills
- Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding corporate goals as well as strong negotiation and closing techniques
