Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller will be a senior leader on the finance team, working closely with business leadership and finance teams to lead the consolidated accounting function, ensuring sound business controls, and financial reporting processes. THE WORK YOU WILL DO:

In addition to setting the strategic direction for the Controllership function and leading a team of ~20 accountants, the successful candidate will also be responsible for the following:

  • Maintaining strong controls and accounting policies while adapting to change circumstances; develop, implement, and document procedures to maximize the cash conversion cycle.
  • Lead the Treasury, daily cash management, and banking activity for the company and related compliance with the support of Senior Management, continue the culture of continuous improvement by maintaining a list of short, medium, and long-term improvement goals and utilize those goals to further develop and improve accounting department processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time/errors, and overall improve timeliness of accounting functions.
  • Lead the accounting department to completion of the annual audit process, tax returns, and other regulatory compliances reports including the timely filing of K-1s, sales/use tax returns, property tax renditions, and the filing of related property and other taxes with support from outside CPAs.
  • Ensure the department maintains accurate and timely delivery of financial statements and related analysis, including identifying, escalating, resolving, and documenting any accounting issues.
  • Manage the department to ensure all transactions having a financial impact are performed in a timely and accurate manner including the monthly reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts (assessed for recoverability and completeness).
  • Be the subject matter expert and the accounting/finance leader on the cross-functional M&A integration team.
  • Develop and ensure effective internal controls are operative to verify the reliability of the financial reporting system.
  • Manage the full implementation and management of Microsoft AX365 accounting ERP and provide leadership to the emerging data insights teams.
  • Responsible for the weekly, monthly, and annual close processes, including managing the external audit and tax (direct and indirect) return processes.
  • Work closely with the CFO and Corporate FP&A team to provide financial results analysis (including reports for inclusion in the Board packs to shareholders).



YOUR MUST HAVES:

  • Growth mindset, demonstrating strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and prioritization skills. Highly ethical, confidential, credible, with clean financial and background history
  • Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
  • Accountable for specific performance of self as well as the accounting team
  • Detail oriented with a strong comprehension of account relationships and reconciliations per GAAP
  • Experience and proficiency with AX 365 (or SAP/Oracle) and an ability to follow the impact of a transaction as it flows through the financials and be able to articulate and understand the full upstream and downstream effects of any accounting decision
  • Experience working through an ERP transition, build-out, or implementation
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with US GAAP and financial reporting in a service, manufacturing, or technology environment
  • Bachelors and/or master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or related fields
  • C.P.A. required with Big 4 public accounting experience highly desired
  • 10 years of experience in the accounting and finance sector
  • 3 years of experience managing accountants and the accounting and finance process.
  • 2 years of experience in a position equivalent to a controller responsibility
  • Ability to travel as required
