Behavioral Health Technician Responsibilities:
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work collaboratively with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
- Direct Patient Care: Provide direct care and support to individuals undergoing mental health and substance abuse treatment.
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans under the supervision of licensed professionals.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond to crisis situations by implementing appropriate interventions and de-escalation techniques.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, progress, and treatment interventions.
- Communicate effectively with the treatment team regarding patient needs and progress.
- Client Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and well-being of individuals receiving treatment. Collaborate with individuals to develop and achieve personal goals.
- HS Diploma/GED.
- A desire and commitment to support persons served in their recovery goal of becoming independent and contributing members of the community is a must.
- Peer Recovery Specialist or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Preferred
