What are the responsibilities and job description for the Archivist A position at PTFS?
Position Summary: The Archivist will use the archival database to search for, and retrieve accessions respond to customer inquiries, and maintain the collection and archival database.

- Gaining intellectual and physical custodianship of records with permanent disposition
- Selecting, appraising, arranging, and describing permanent records through the established archival process
- Appraise records using established schedules
- Arrange records according /adhering to principles of original order and provenance
- House records in preservation quality folders and containers
- Complete accessioning by describing records in the archival database through established standards
- Arrange and prioritize records for eventual declassification and transfer to the National Archives and Records Administration.
- An active/current TS/SCI CI or FS Polygraph
- 0-2 years of experience with accessioning in a library or similar document management organization
- Master of Library Science, or bachelor's degree
- Good interpersonal communications skills and the ability to work well as a team and individually
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time
- Ability to read and assimilate information and use it to make timely accurate decisions
