Communications Project Support Contractor
Job Overview:
Client is seeking a part-time Communications Project Support Contractor to join Client’s Global Cybersecurity team.
This role supports the Senior Project Manager in planning, developing, and delivering strategic communications for both executive leadership and employee audiences.
Candidate will support high-impact cybersecurity technology changes and policy communications across a 5,000-employee IT organization.
Candidate's expertise will help drive consistency and clarity in communication initiatives, while also supporting process improvement efforts and 2025 strategic planning.
Key Areas of Support:
Strategic Communications Support: Assist with the creation, planning, and execution of communications for executive leadership and internal stakeholders.
Content Creation: Draft, edit, and manage a variety of communications, including emails, presentations, and executive summaries related to cybersecurity policy, technology changes, and business impacts.
Program Development: Support the development and maintenance of communications project management practices, processes, documentation, templates, and standards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, IT partners, and stakeholders to ensure clear and effective messaging for complex cybersecurity initiatives.
Project Management: Assist with the organization and tracking of multiple communications projects, helping maintain timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.
Process Improvement: Identify and develop opportunities to standardize communications efforts and improve existing processes.
2025 Planning Support: Contribute to long-term planning initiatives to support future communications efforts.
Required Skills:
Project management: Experience in project management tools and techniques, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Writing and editing: Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail, including the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
Awareness of basic cybersecurity concepts Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts is preferred but not required. Ability to communicate technical information in a clear, concise, and non-technical manner.
Technology proficiency: Proficient/expert in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Microsoft Project expertise strongly desired.
Communications planning: Experience in creating and executing communication strategies, especially within large, complex organizations.

Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Adaptability: Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while maintaining a flexible, solution-oriented mindset.

Detail-oriented: High attention to detail and commitment to quality in all deliverables.
Initiative: Proactive and able to identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and efficiency in communications processes.
Qualifications:
3 plus years of experience in internal communications, change communications, project management, or related roles.
Experience within IT or cybersecurity organizations is a plus but not required.
