About the role:
We’re looking for a talented Senior Copywriter to join our Brand Marketing team.
In this role, you’ll own the voice for our company—in social media, push notifications, advertising campaigns, video content, member communications, and more. The ideal candidate will bring clarity, creativity and consistency to our messaging in everything we do.
Our voice and tone - driven by copy - are critical in driving our brand forward, solidifying our identity across every brand interaction.
This role is based in New York. You will report to our VP of Brand.
What you’ll do:
- Follow creative briefs to bring concepts and ideas to life clearly and concisely - aligned with our brand voice/tone.
- Drive consistency within our brand, ensuring positioning and copy ladder up to the greater brand strategy.
- Write compelling and effective copy for advertising campaigns, especially in social channels where a native style and tone of voice is imperative to efficacy (understanding the role of various channels and ways in which our audience interacts with each is critical).
- Help establish, maintain, and evolve a consistent tone of voice within our platform and across member communications, owned channels, and marketing campaigns.
- Partner and collaborate with internal teams across the org to ensure consistency and quality of brand voice across internal and external facing outputs.
- Continuous development of overarching brand content strategy across owned and paid channels.
- Contribute to in-app messaging, fulfilling our aim to present complex topics in an accessible manner so members can make educated and informed investment decisions.
About you:
- At least 8 years of experience copywriting for a startup, established brand or creative agency - with proven versatility across email, social content, video content, advertising creative, etc.
- Experience working with creative briefs and collaborating with designers and other stakeholders (marketing/PR, tech, leadership, etc.).
- You have a sharp wit and can bring cleverness to otherwise dry concepts. You know when to lean into humor, and when to be direct and straightforward.
- You’re not afraid to cut words - you have the desire to communicate clearly/efficiently and understand when less is more
- A passion for the financial markets and a desire to clearly communicate complex concepts in an accessible and educational way.
