Key Responsibilities
Knowledge
Expert in media buying processes, theories, and approaches
Exposure to both online and offline media
Deep comprehension of and strong opinions on the media marketplace and vendor landscape
Understanding of advanced media, technical, and analytical concepts
Expertise in Media Ocean and Microsoft Office: Power Point, Excel and Word
Expertise in Investment tools (Investment Management Tool, Mediatools, Authorize, etc…)
Solid understanding of qualitative and quantitative business information used by clients in their day-to-day activities
Sees bigger picture in regards to their client’s organization and the agency
Internal: Investment Management
Day-to-day manager of the Investment team (Associate and Manager) on a Pod
Approves final negotiations with media partners
Approves forecasting of client media dollars
Knowledge of contractual agreements currently in place with partners
Ability to address new contractual needs, such as IO notes, SOWs, amendments, etc…
Expert understanding of existing deals and partnerships in place with PHM and PMX
Understands and articulates client’s business objectives and how they translate into media investment strategies
Plays a lead role in defining the media investment strategy and approach, ensuring the brand strategy is adhered to throughout the process
Drives internal team momentum and progress to meet client deadlines
Advances best practices in investment process, media buying approaches, etc.
Provides clear, regular communication regarding client and project goals, prioritization, and measures of success to all key stakeholders
Approves all team re-investment recommendations
Facilitates the execution of media buys
Ensures QA of all client deliverables
Flexible, adaptable to changing to the needs of the departments and marketplace
Ability to proactively solve problems and improve processes and efficiencies
Ability to build relationships and partner across internal teams
Takes initiative and accountability for oneself and team’s work
Drives POVs on new offerings and technologies available via key partnerships
Contributes to new business efforts as needed

5-8 years media advertising experiencePharmaceutical industry a plus
BA/BS
Exhibits professionalism, integrity, self-awareness, and an attitude of continuous improvement
Proven ability to lead people and projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), media systems, tools, and resources (AdIntel, ComScore, Media Tools, etc.)
Notable Milestones
Experience begins to span multiple categories (pharma/consumer healthcare/hospital systems/retail)
Starting to contribute to new business pitches
Starting to contribute to the agency beyond client assignment
