A Hospital Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the daily operation of a quality out-patient Publix Pharmacy located in a hospital delivering premier customer service.

Other qualifications for the position of Hospital Pharmacy Technician include:
  • ability to deliver friendly and courteous customer service
  • ability to read, write and do simple math problems (e.g., conversions)
  • must be detail-oriented
  • ability to apply problem resolution skills
  • ability to multitask
  • ability to enter data in the computer accurately
  • ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to empathize with patients and care givers, and
  • willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and extended hours.


Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications for the position of Hospital Pharmacy Technician are:
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • must satisfy the requirements for an active, valid pharmacy technician registration or license, as required by the pharmacy board in the state in which the technician operates
  • must not have active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a private, federal, or state health insurance program upon hire and thereafter, and
  • must not have received an unacceptable result on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years.

To be eligible for hire at Publix, applicants must

  • not have received an unacceptable result on a company-sponsored drug test within the last year
  • have met the Criminal Background Check (CBC) and pharmacists license check requirements within the last year, and
  • meet the rehire eligibility criteria, if previously employed at Publix.
