Purchasing Power is looking to hire a Business Analyst to join our exciting and fast-paced, FP&A team.

The Business Analyst is responsible for providing analysis and insight into Accounting and Finance activities, as it relates to operational processes and cash flow.  You will support operational and financial data integration across the company’s internal systems. The Business Analyst manages the retrieval, transformation, delivery, and exchange of data between business systems to support the Accounting, Treasury, and Financial Operations departments. 

Responsibilities include:

• Analyze complex operational and financial data and extract relevant information to report to management
• Monitor daily/weekly/monthly metrics and alert business leaders to issues and trends
• Reconcile high volumes of financial transactions with input from various sources to identify process gaps and verify data integrity
• Provide data driven input, with insight and forward-thinking recommendations to business leaders that drive financial benefits
• Make decisions within broad parameters, and acts as an informal resource for others with less experience
• Work with team members to provide operational support, documentation, and knowledge sharing of best practices
• Drive process improvements: Communicate findings and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and systems that support company strategy
• Maintain relationship with IT and FP&A teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Consistently provide proactive and prescriptive analytics
• Create process procedures, standards, and flows for current and future state initiatives/analysis
• Maintain and stay up to date on the latest analytical tools and trends
• Ensure all deliverables adhere to department quality and delivery standards
• Complete special projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Economics, Decision Sciences, Mathematics, Finance or related field
• 3 years of data/business analysis experience
• 3 years of extensive Hands-on working experience with SQL and Tableau
• 2 year of experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word)
• Knowledge of advanced quantitative analytic techniques and protocols used to build necessary business models
• Advanced knowledge with data analytics and data mining
• Must be detail-oriented and very organized with the ability to multi-task to deliver timely output and handle shifting priorities professionally 
• Capable of managing/manipulating large data sets, developing Dashboards and writing codes proficiently.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to build consensus and project plans
• Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
• Identify process issues and develop solutions to address
• Ability to communicate quantitative information in a qualitative manner
• Understand business objectives and requirements, organize and interpret results, and deliver insights and recommendations through effective reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Python, R, VBA
