Job Summary
We are seeking undergraduate students interested in working in our research laboratory this summer. The focus of our research area is in soil health and soil sustainability. Job responsibilities will include assisting with experiments such as measurement of basal respiration, enzyme assays, lipid extractions, ACE-protein analysis, preparation of reagents needed for analysis, preparation and setup for each day's processing of samples, recording and entry of data, general laboratory housekeeping. The ideal candidate should have an interest in environmental sciences, ecology, biology, soils or agriculture. Students hired for this position will be fully trained, however, those who have either class or employment experience in the laboratory especially the use of pipets, making of solutions and use of analytical balances are prefered.
