Job Summary Description:
We are seeking a dependable Parts Driver to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely delivery of parts and materials to various locations, as well as transporting personnel when necessary. The Parts Driver will be responsible for safe and efficient transportation, with a focus on adhering to delivery schedules and supporting the overall operations.
Essential Job Accountabilities:
- Safely operate the parts truck to deliver parts, materials, and supplies to various locations, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Plan and map delivery routes, adhering to the scheduled stops and ensuring all deliveries are completed as planned.
- Assist in transporting personnel, including trips to airports and other facilities, and support general shop operations as needed.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols while driving and performing related duties.
- Assist in minor maintenance tasks, including refueling, checking oil, and ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support the facility and shop operations.
- The Parts Driver must maintain a valid driver's license, DOT Medical Certificate, and Indiana Chauffeur's License.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- No CDL required, but possession of a CDL is a plus.
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certificate.
- Ability to obtain an Indiana Chauffeur's License.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Experience in the construction industry (preferred)
