Position Overview:
The Splicer will be responsible to complete all duties regarding splicing coax cable (aerial and underground) / fiber and projects by meeting timelines exceeding customer’s expectations. The Splicer’s primary job function will be splicing coax, splicing fiber, including all the related tasks while working throughout multiple phases of a project.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Splicing various types of coaxial cable both aerial and underground.
- Splicing fiber.
- Activation of a RF line and signal.
- RF interference detection.
- Splice active and passive CATV equipment.
- Read cable plant maps.
- Mark-up maps, track work hours and complete "as-built maps" for areas built
- Troubleshoot basic problems, rough balance and troubleshoot cable coax plant.
- Maintain company equipment and image.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Continuous focus on safety.
- Responsible for upkeep and maintaining company vehicle, inventory and small tools.
- Mentor and train other Coax Splicers.
- Manages time to ensure production requirements are, at minimum being met, and/or exceeded.
- Represent Push, Inc. in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Identify ways of continuous improvement of processes and procedures that will elevate the company, as a whole.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Specific Technical Training, preferred.
- Work Experience: Two years of experience working as a Splicer
- Industry Knowledge: General understanding of splicing techniques, safety related to splicing, coax plant and blueprint reading, and all other related utility construction knowledge necessary to complete the duties of this position.

- Computer skills.
- Coaxial Cable Splicing Equipment.
- Must be able to operate and work in bucket truck.
- Must be able to work from a ladder.
- Self-Motivated.
- Desire to learn.
- Strong time management skills.
- Demonstrate ability to read blue prints, maps.
- Knowledge of cable size.
- Ability to read, comprehend and even prepare all job-related work reports (i.e. red-lined cable plans, throw sheets, test results, etc.
- Valid Driver’s License.
