PVA is expanding our Logistics team! The Logistics Team Member is responsible for shipping equipment to customers. This position ensures machines are shipped safely within budget and timeframe. Hours for this position are 7:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday-Friday. Starting pay is $20-$28 per hour depending on experience. This position requires onsite presence in Halfmoon, NY.
Responsibilities
- Identifies the most cost effective and efficient option and ships machines to customers within identified timeframe and budget.
- Coordinates with internal departments to facilitate equipment turnover and crating for on-time shipment.
- Ensures correct parts are shipped at the right quality and with zero damage.
- Assists purchasing with arranging logistics to bring purchased parts in house and tracking distressed shipments.
- Provides product dimensions and weights to assist with shipping quotes.
- Prepares domestic and international shipping documentation.
- Liaises with various shipping forwarders, including customs to ensure safe and timely delivery of our products.
- Keeps appropriate shipping records to ensure machines are tracked and monitored for loss and damage.
- Loads/unloads trucks, dock operations.
- Plans for required crate inventory/stock, brackets, supplies, etc.
- Assists with crating of machines.
- Maintains the chemical inventory database; ensures all chemicals are accompanied with safety data sheets.
- Ensures company abides by government standards for overseas shipments.
- Maintains confidentiality of customer information.
- Adheres to company policies.
