Site Safety Supervisor

AIMS Companies is currently searching for a talented Site Safety Supervisor at the Phoenix branch, in Phoenix, AZ. The AIMS Companies is a renowned industrial and municipal cleaning and inspections company that uses state of the art equipment to provide clients a wide range of high-quality services, including but not limited to, hydro-blasting, wet/dry vacuuming, industrial coatings and CCTV pipeline inspections, remediation, spill response, hydro-demolition, and transportation. Our mission is to be the safe, reliable, and secure choice that results in the best value for our customers. The Site Safety Supervisor provides a vital support service for AIMS Companies.

This position will functionally report to the West Regional HSE Manager located in Phoenix, AZ and directly work with daily direction from the Phoenix Branch Manager.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Conduct Safety Orientation and training of employees – Provide AIMS specific and applicable OSHA specific training to new and existing employees. This includes on-the-job training as needed.
• Monitor and enforce safe work practices: Monitor and coach employees on safe work practices, based on sound safety principles following OSHA and AIMS Companies guidance. Encourage employees to identify unsafe conditions, utilize stop work authority when needed, and work safely.
• Correct Unsafe Conditions: Assist employees in identifying and correcting unsafe conditions. Once unsafe conditions are identified, they work with the site leadership to design solutions to mitigate the exposure to those risks.
• Conduct safety meetings: Safety meeting shall be held prior to every shift and periodically thereafter (weekly and/or monthly)
• Relationship Building: Develop positive relationships with employees, gaining trust and respect.
• Hazard Assessments: Preview projects and work sites before work begins to determine safety related risks and hazards utilizing a job safety analysis process. Participates in the safe planning of work by advising field technicians on company safety requirements.
• Safety Audits: Visit active job sites to assess ongoing work conditions to ensure compliance and safe working conditions.
• Inspect Equipment: Perform, as needed, and review equipment inspection records to confirm compliance and or observe unsafe conditions. This includes periodic inspections of all vehicles.
• Incident Investigation: Perform basic investigations of all incidents and ensure proper reporting is performed. Assist with identifying incident causes and corrective actions.
• Recommend Solutions: Identify and communicate solutions, new improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures.
• Record-Keeping: Maintain safety related documentation including, but not limited to, E-Log audit, audit reports, inspection form, incident reports, job safety analysis, etc.
• Communication: Maintain excellent communication with customer (as needed), site leadership, and Regional HSE Manager

Skills and requirements include:

• Associate degree in relevant field of study and or combined years of experience.
• Experience as a field trainer, industrial hygiene, OSHA 10/30, OSHA 40 HAZWOPER preferred. Mine experience and current MSHA is preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
• Strong computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must meet company vehicle insurability requirements.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed inside and outside in the elements. This position will include exposure to various weather, noise, and temperature conditions (i.e heat, rain, snow). Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend and twist at the waist, climb stairs, and walk without assistance.

Travel: Overnight travel may be required for project/job sites. Will be less than 25%
