Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer and Information Science, Management Information Systems, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Economics

Certification(s) Preferred:

Experience and/or certification in SAFe Agile, Six Sigma, IT Service Management / ITIL, and Project Management Professional (PMP)

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or proven track record in various project lifecycle processes of plan, monitor and control activities such as:

  • Scope, schedule, and budget management of large-scale, complex, transformation programs;
  • Planning management: backlog grooming, capacity and demand planning, sprint work allocation, critical path management, change requests, dependence management;
  • Communications management: status reporting, stakeholder reporting, progress tracking, program wide updates;
  • Stakeholder management and governance: maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating periodic stakeholder updates, establishing governance structure;
  • Agile sprint ceremony facilitation: sprint demo oversight, sprint retrospectives, stand-up execution;
  • Resource and vendor management: staffing, talent identification and grooming, on-boarding / off-boarding, 3rd party vendor coordination;
  • Financial management: capital budgeting, cost modeling, actual vs. budget variance analysis;
  • Issue and risk management: RAID log maintenance, issue and risk identification, impact analysis and prioritization, escalation and mitigation;
  • Knowledge management: organizing the array of information across various facets of the program, establishing the structure, and facilitating the transition of knowledge as required;
  • Organizational change management: understanding and experience with OCM efforts such as change management, stakeholder analysis, communications, training, and resistance management;
  • Creation and maintenance of PMO tools, templates, and processes as it relates to the aforementioned areas as well as platforms such as Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps, MS Project, ServiceNow, Confluence, Smartsheet and related tools; and,
  • In-depth experience with MS Office platform, Google Suite, Business Intelligence toolsets (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or proven track record in Property and Casualty insurance and experience and involvement with policy administration transformation programs and business applications such as:

  • Policy administration;
  • Claim management;
  • Billing;
  • Agency / customer portals;
  • Reinsurance;
  • Enterprise data warehouse; and,
  • Document management systems (production, imaging, storage) - as a functional user or as a business system analyst.

Demonstrates a thorough level of abilities with, and/or a proven record of success as both an individual contributor and team member, identifying and addressing client needs by:

  • Building impactful relationships with clients;
  • Developing an awareness of Firm services;
  • Communicating with the client in an organized and knowledgeable manner;
  • Delivering clear requests for information;
  • Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks;
  • Communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor;
  • Managing teams and/or workstreams on an engagements, staying educated on current trends and assisting in the development of knowledge capital;
  • Collaborating with business development teams responsible for writing and presenting proposals to prospective clients;
  • Presenting to senior executives, with the ability to develop lasting relationships;
  • Understanding personal and team roles;
  • Building trusting relationships with team members;
  • Proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback; and,
  • Flexing work assignments to achieve team goals.
