High Focus Centers in Paramus is a premier provider of outpatient treatment programs for mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders. Our highly trained staff create individualized, comprehensive and robust treatment plans designed to meet each client’s treatment goals. At High Focus Centers in Paramus we are currently seeking a Counselor to join our amazing team of behavioral healthcare professionals providing individual and group therapy for adults, teens and middle-school aged children seeking treatment. Clinical responsibilities include:
- Group Therapy
- Individual therapy
- Family therapy
- Initial assessments
Our Perfect Candidate...
- Has previous experience working with co-occurring disorders and substance abuse.
- Has previous experience or strong interest in working with co-occurring or substance use disorder.
- Has a thorough knowledge of mental health, treatment planning, documentation and the continuum of care.
- Enjoys working in a team environment & is able to establish harmonious relationships with patients, staff and community agency personnel.
- Demonstrates the ability to establish rapport with patients and their families as evidenced by patient engagement in program.
- Treats all families with dignity, respect, and prompt, individualized attention and/or services.
- Is able to maintain and prepare accurate reports and records.
- Demonstrates skill and ensures staff competence in areas of universal precautions, CPR, medication management, fire safety, pt. abuse reporting, patient rights, age-related competencies, harassment free workplace practices and HIPAA protocols.
- Other Duties As Assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Human Services or related field.
- Must have one of the following licensures: LSW, LAC, LCSW, LPC, or LMFAT.
