The Manager, Capital Markets will be responsible for planning and executing a range of critical funding transactions in line with the Group’s funding strategies and consistent with the Group’s Financial Framework. This role will be accountable for the analysis of financing alternatives including tax and accounting considerations and the provision of recommendations to senior management. You will lead financing transactions as well as provide analytical and Treasury-specific commercial support to Qantas Group segments whilst monitoring external market events and trends. The role will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the broader finance community including banks and rating agencies. In addition, the role will be responsible for developing external stakeholder communication materials including financial performance presentations as well as rating agency and segment presentations. This position is a key critical leadership role within the Capital Markets team within Qantas Group Treasury and provides expert advice to support the optimisation of the Group’s multi-billion dollar debt portfolio. You’ll have – 5 years’ experience in a large complex organisation in a corporate Treasury role ideally in funding CPA, CA or CFA qualified Ability to communicate and build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders Outstanding numerical and analytical skills including the ability to work with data sets, interpret financial analyses and perform spreadsheet analysis Advanced Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills Self-directed with strong time management skills to prioritise tasks and deadlines Ability to make quick but sound decisions under pressure Ability to think logically and holistically to bring together many different pieces of information and incorporate them into an overall review and strategy Proficient in conflict resolution and problem solving Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills Strong attention to detail Why Qantas?
