Primary Details Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee Deliver Human Resources (HR) support to team, managers, and employees by collaborating with internal HR functions to further knowledge in policies, programs and practices. Primary Responsibilities • Responsible for a broad understanding of HR policies, programs, and practices ranging from benefits, compensation, employee relations, performance management, learning and development and talent management along with current applicable employment laws and regulations •Implement the divisional and global HR plan through business units to drive organizational capability uplift and performance •Assist with various HR initiatives such as talent development, learning, goal setting, succession planning and the annual merit review process •Provide timely, personalized and quality customer service by evaluating and analyzing concerns, quickly interpreting situations and communicating resolutions •Cultivate and develop reliable and trustworthy relationships by communicating regularly with HR functions, managers and employees •Participate in business meetings to gain on-the-job experience and exposure to real-life discussions and solutioning •Analyze reports to understand trends, needs of the business and identify areas of opportunity to advance the HR function Required Education • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience Required Experience • 4 years relevant experience Preferred Competencies/Skills • Utilize effective research and investigative techniques •Utilize effective written and oral communication skills •Adapt to changing plans, goals, actions or priorities •Demonstrate and apply business acumen •Multi-task and handle competing priorities •Utilize learning agility to confront unexpected circumstances as learning opportunities •Respond calmly, quickly and decisively to unpredictable or unexpected events and changes •Show drive and initiative; seek opportunities to learn and grow Preferred Experience • Increasing levels of experience within different HR functional areas Preferred Licenses/Certifications • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) •Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Preferred Knowledge • Basic knowledge of HR processes and procedures, industry trends, standards and best practices •Broad understanding of different HR functions such as Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Employee Relations, Learning and Talent •Current applicable employment laws and regulations •Computer systems and software, Microsoft Office Suite QBE Cultural DNA • Everything we do at QBE is underpinned by our DNA (which interlinks seven cultural elements) – because we know it's not just what we do that matters, it's how we do it that makes the difference.
