Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting the Controller in preparing and analyzing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and regulations. The Senior Accountant also assists with budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and tax preparation. The ideal candidate has at least five years of accounting experience and a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. 

Responsibilities

• Production of the financial statements in accordance with GAAP requirements
• Support the monthly close process including journals and account reconciliations
• Actively seeking improvements to current processes driving efficiency and accuracy
• Fixed asset accounting including depreciations and asset analysis
• Payables and billing tasks
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly analysis and reporting for internal stakeholders and executive team
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting requirements
• Ad hoc tasks and reporting when required
• Support Netsuite Implementation
• Write SOPs
• Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with Netsuite
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Some supervisory experience is required.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in financial planning and forecasting.
• Hands-on experience in month-end-close processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
