Job Summary
A Purchasing Coordinator oversees the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities such as PO placement, return goods submittals, product promotion, sales team awareness and Eclipse settings. A Purchasing Coordinator works closely with our logistics, marketing, sales, pricing, and accounts payable teams to optimize business value, achieve company goals, and maximize return on investment for the product lines managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the direction of product efforts to ensure highest quality products are purchased at best possible price, in the correct amount, at the appropriate time.
- Acquire quality products, at lowest possible cost, minimize cash tied up in inventory, and maintain the flow of goods to strengthen our competitive position and accomplish financial goals.
- Use selling skills, account management and customer relations techniques to proactively grow market share and ensure QED as the top distributor in the market.
- Appropriately manage inventory through proper purchasing, shipping, receiving, tracking, warehousing and storage, turnover, and re-ordering of product.
- Pursue financial goals by seeing and seizing opportunity, making profitable business decisions, and controlling operational costs.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum work experience requirements:
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Eclipse ERP experience preferred
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Eclipse preferred.
- Experience with Purchasing preferred
Starting Rate: $27.00 - $31.00 / Hourly
