As a UX Designer you will work with several cross-functional product teams, guiding their work to improve usability throughout our platform. Projects range from multi-team initiatives that launch into new markets all the way down to quality of life tweaks in the current platform, with something new every day. The UX team will focus primarily on bringing real-time scheduling data to life, keeping all users informed and day-to-day operations running smooth.
We're seeking a detail-obsessed, big-picture-minded UX Designer to guide in the creation of premium solutions for the healthcare problems that we aim to solve. You will have a hand in each stage of product development, taking projects from user research, to sketches, to high-fidelity designs. You will also help build a strong design foundation, including contributing to the QGenda design system. Your work will have a direct impact on how healthcare providers can service their communities.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product teams to adapt strategy, business requirements and usability best practices into high-quality, customer-centric designs that support and reinforce QGenda’s product vision, brand, and business objectives
- Work cross-functionally with product owners and development teams to ensure high quality design implementation through product lifecycle and releases
- Problem solving within our platform to utilize patterns and components previously defined, and contribute to new material when appropriate.
- Balance user experience, business needs, technical feasibility, and time-to-market throughout the design process
- Design and support new interfaces/experiences by creating low and high-fidelity wireframes, mockups and prototypes
- Utilize available research and feedback sources to rapidly iterate upon your concepts
- Present to stakeholders and communicate design rationale, adapting to changes as needed
- Create and implement interaction models and user interface specifications
- Stay on top of UX trends and look for creative ways to further enrich the QGenda product offerings.
Qualifications:
- At a minimum, a 4 year degree in a related design or behavioral science discipline
- Ideally a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design
- 1-3 years of professional UX/UI design experience
- Experience working with design systems and familiarity with front-end UI development is a plus
- Obsessive attention to detail and stellar visual design skills (Portfolio necessary)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholders as well as developers. Must have the ability to articulate design rationale in discussions and in presentations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Highly motivated and organized - Must be able to work in a team environment and take design direction/feedback with positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, startup-like environment
- Flexible and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment by garnering consensus across cross-functional teams for design ideas
Exceptional Extras:
- Prior experience with healthcare-related products or mobile platforms is a plus
- Solid understanding of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standard
- Expertise using industry standard design tools, specifically Figma
Work Environment: Computer-based work environment
Physical Demands: Sitting and standing for extended periods, lifting of 5 - 10 pounds
Travel: Minimal (less than 5% if any)
