Position Description
Our Operations Product Manager (OPM) will be integral to the design and implementation of a high performance organization with flexible, committed and innovative associates. As OPM, you would team with colleagues across the organization to create a high-performance culture, grow the business and achieve bottom line results. The OPM will be responsible for working between R&D and Operations to implement products into SAP (create BOM’s, Part Numbers, etc.) to meet company objectives and customer requirements. This involves managing the development life cycle through to launch and beyond as well as existing products.
You will be expected to:
- Management, coordination and support of technology and product transfers from product development to production and between different manufacturing locations with focus on quality, availability and manufacturing costs
- Management and coordination of international and interdisciplinary projects
- Operations representative in Business Area, development and life cycle management projects
- Core team member in R&D product development meetings, facilitating communications between various stakeholders including but not limited to providing feedback for raw material procurement and product costings
- Creation of efficient processes for a QIAGEN product family, investment in planning and control systems such as SAP
- Creation of Standard Operating Procedures and process flow charts
- Streamline ongoing challenging and existing processes for objective-oriented identification of optimization potential
- Coordinates with different departments to keep timelines for implementations
- Preparation of master data implementation and change process
- Contributes to the continues improvement projects along the value chain for the responsible products and beyond her/his area of responsibility
- Representation of the operations division in international programs including reporting of the KPI
Position Requirements
- 2-3 years experience in the manufacturing biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry (OPM role)
- Bachelor or Master of Science Degree or similar education
- 2-3 years experience in industry in addition to education
- Ability to manage complex personal tasks, teamwork, interaction and presentation to management and stakeholders
- Use of SAP and building BOM’s, Part Numbers required
