Your Contribution to the Mission:
The Deputy Project Manager will support our Land Systems Division with a focus on the following areas:
Support the Program Manager with the creation of program plans including the development of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for management of scope to ensure alignment with contract requirements, budgets, and internal commitments.
Assist the Program Manager with the monitoring and assessment of the program performance against plan (schedule and financial).
Work with the project team to help identify risk and scope changes, develop and implement corrective action when necessary to initiate program changes. Maintain MS Schedule regularly.
Assist the Program Manager with the review of Production Contracts to ensure execution alignment.
Assist the Program Manager with the control of expenditures per the project budget and report monthly on project budget to actual performance via the Estimate to Complete (ETC) process.
Understand the role and responsibility of each program team member, and being able to communicate to team members the program’s scope, schedule, and financial objectives.
Support the Program Manager with the development of the program ‘s resources. Direct assigned program resources.
To Land This Job, You Need:
B.S /B.A. in Engineering, Science Mathematics or equivalen t
Hands on experience creating and maintaining plans in MS Project is highly desirable
Possess people and leadership skills – must be capable of leading a team of technical personnel from different functions and foster collaboration and excel at conflict resolution.
Estimating – must be capable of working with subject matter experts to develop estimates for duration and cost.
Develop and maintain schedule/budgets
Hands-on project experience in manufacturing
Excellent computer skills with a strong proficiency in Windows platform, Microsoft Office
