Quality Engineer - QMS Compliance
Job Scope:
Execution of QMS Compliance related activities and management of licenses, and certifications/registrations within the specified geography. Primary QMS activities include but are not limited to leading and conducting QMS internal auditing, liaison and coordination between the organization and registrars/certifying bodies, management of audit findings through closure, management of QMS documentation, and support the organization with process development and standardization. Partner with the organization to carry out activities to meet customer & regulatory compliance and support improving its effectiveness and efficiency on a continual basis.
Job Purpose:
- Support the activities that contribute to the achievement of Quality Compliance objectives and alignment strategies.
- Maintain all pertinent and required Quality Management System Certifications (such as ISO9001, API Q1/Q2, ISO 17025, PED, etc.) for the specified geography.
- Lead and conduct internal compliance audits and support external compliance audits (including outlined scoped support for customer and supplier audits).
- Conduct QMS review of quality management system documentation, maintain documentation system(s), and support process development and standardization.
- Foster a partnering relationship between registrars/certifying bodies and the organization.
- Support the business in demonstrating and achieving QMS compliance.
- Partner with the organization to evaluate and improve the Quality Management System effectiveness.
- Lead and participate in improvements to the Management System to eliminate waste, increase throughput, reduce cost, and improve quality.
- Support the business as a QMS Business Partner.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct QMS Compliance Internal Audits from plan to closure of findings.
- Carry out the internal and external QMS audit schedule, program, and its execution and follow up including audit finding management.
- Support activities to maintain QMS certifications and compliance program.
- Facilitate interactions with registrar/certifying bodies and the organization to schedule and coordinate audits, ensure payments are made, validate corrective actions are completed and closed, and communicate changes that may affect the management system or its operation.
- Communicate to the organization any changes in registrar/certifying bodies requirements and partner with the business to ensure compliance.
- Conduct compliance trainings that support the QHSE Compliance strategy (Internal Auditor Training, Registrar Audit Prep Sessions, etc).
- Partner with the GBU & EMS Quality teams to ensure quality related compliance activities and requirements are met (such as Management Review, Management of Change, etc).
- Manage and Maintain QMS documentation and repository.
- Conduct QMS documentation cycle review.
- Support activities to establish and maintain the Global BPMS (GBPMS) – Possible activities may include modelling, administration, facilitation, and/or linking of documentation.
- Support the organization in GBPMS process development and standardization through modeling, administration, and/or facilitation.
- Provide input to QMS metrics and summaries for audits, findings, and documentation.
- Lead and implement improvements in the Management System.
- Support functional departments related to QMS Compliance.
- Perform development and implementation of System Procedures.
- Perform updates, disclosure and clarification related to the Quality Manual, Quality Policy and Objectives, guiding the areas regarding its application.
- Contribute and/ or respond to customer audit findings, audit assessments, surveys when applicable.
- Participate in Global QMS Projects for cost savings, simplification and/ or standardization of Processes.
- Perform gap analysis on new or revised Industry Standards Specifications.
You are meant for this job if:
Must have:
- University degree or equivalent qualification through experience
- 5 years of Quality or Operational Excellence experience.
- Track record of delivering valuable business results (improvement in cost, lead time, quality and operational efficiency).
- Ability to build working relationships vertically and horizontally within the organization.
- Working knowledge of the application of Quality Management Systems including Internal Auditing, Management of Change, Document Control, Process Development, and Industry Standards (ISO 9001, API Q1, etc).
- Bilingual (Spanish-English)
- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the country, without sponsorship.
Nice to have:
- ASQ / Quality Auditor certifications.
- Work experience on Projects, Operations, or Manufacturing.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt Certificate and experience using these methodologies.
- Previous experience in Oil & Gas industry.
- Fluent in additional languages, preferably the language used within the specific geographical area.
