Duties and responsibilities
Primary job duties and responsibilities:
Assist in leading the close reporting process ensuring all financial deadlines are met.
General Ledger review and reclassification
Ensure the accurate and timely balancing of assigned General Ledger accounts to appropriate subsidiary ledgers and prepare correcting entries if necessary.
Manage the preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
Build reports used for tracking customer financing agreements
Fixed Assets – Responsible for maintaining vehicle fleet and other related duties.
Set up, maintain and dispose of assets according to schedules.
Reconcile asset accounts to the general ledger and maintain appropriate worksheets and schedules for audit purposes.
Financial Reporting of leased assets program
Analyze asset and liability accounts for year-end review to include documentation of activity.
Developing information extraction/retrieval techniques and processes using advanced Excel worksheets and reporting techniques to provide management with effective and insightful operating data reports
Reconciliation of statements
Sales Tax Reporting and filings for Monthly, Quarterly and Annual returns for multiple states-back up for primary responsible person
Fuel Tax Reporting-back up for primary responsible person
1099 preparation and verifying all W-9s on file and vendors updated with Tax ID#s
Additional Job Responsibilities may be required. Flexibility of job responsibilities is expected.
Advanced Excel experience
You must be able to model, write formulas, merge information from spreadsheets and be able to summarize data with the use of pivot tables.
Strong foundation in accounting principles
Two years of sales tax experience is required
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
CPA a plus

Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have, at minimum, an intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office. Advanced Microsoft Excel experience (Pivot Tables, Formulas, xlookups required).
Job is performed in our corporate headquarters. Working hours generally are Monday – Friday 8:00a – 5:00p. Some overtime and weekend work may also apply on a week-to-week basis but must have prior approval.
Position requires sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time
