The Registered Nurse (RN) Manager, with Tier 1 security clearance, is responsible for the delivery of quality care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation and evaluation. Ensures occupational health needs and related services to all customers, internal and external, are provided with excellence and compassion. Serves as Nurse manager for the clinic staff and works closely with Clinical Administrative Operations Manager on hiring and policy development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivery of quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation as related to an occupational health setting
- Conduct health screenings (e.g., health history, physical assessment, drug screening and other updates as needed)
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by or in support of higher medical authority either in writing of verbally
- Administer first aid treatment and coordinate the transfer of injuries that require a higher level of care such as UCC (Urgent Care Center) or ED (Emergency Department) capabilities
- Will coordinate and acquire medical documentation from medical professionals at UCC or ED for inclusion into the employee medical record for reporting and case management, as necessary
- Perform Phlebotomy (drawing blood)
- Administer vaccines/injections (subcutaneous & intramuscular)
- Administer allergy shots (as per DoD protocol)
- Support Front Desk operations, health records maintenance and other general administrative tasks
- Support Health and Wellness programs
- Standard operation procedure development and maintenance
- Able to support Surge staffing to meet mission (i.e.,for special health-related programming/events or dispensing vaccinations)

- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, PHI, PII, and COC protocols
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Strong knowledge of case management/care coordination/transfer protocols
- Strong knowledge of electronic medical records
- Ability to resolve complex problems
- Must be able to procure tier 1 governmental security clearance
Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- 10 years of practicing RN experience required, preferably in an Occupational Health related environment
- 5 years of management/supervisory role.
- Must possess a current, active, full, clean and clear, and an unrestricted Nursing License with CPR (AED) certification required
- ACLS/ATLS certification highly preferred
