QuadMed is seeking a Product Development Specialist to join our team! This position will be responsible for the development of new products and enhancements to current products within QuadMed. Will lead cross-functional product development teams that typically include finance, legal, compliance, sales, marketing, operations, IT, Quality and others as needed. Develop a working relationship with different department representatives to drive projects forward. Supports the Director of Product Development following the product development lifecycle including any of the steps from ideation, product roadmap prioritization, to go to market strategy. Also responsible for acting as primary point of contact for specific QuadMed products responsible for overseeing growth plan, product enhancement roadmap, pricing structure, and vendor relationship.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts lost opportunity analysis and client interviews to drive product recommendations
- Develops buy-build-partner analysis, and where necessary, reviews potential partner relationships for the product
- Keeps a finger on the pulse of our competition and develops strategies and tactics to reduce the threat
- Collaborates on product roadmap strategies and opportunities
- Launches new products and develops proposals that make compelling cases for continued investment into our products
- Understands and able to lead teams and departments through the product life cycle ensuring all steps are completed to get the product/service market ready
- Leads product development projects as assigned from assessment to business case to business plan to implementation. Aid in establishing the cost/benefit estimates
- Provides lead support and project management to other product owners to develop product and implementation plans
- Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to increase engagement and drive utilization of new and enhanced QuadMed products/services
- Supports the analysis and ongoing assessment of market trends, competitive analysis, industry best practice and national trends
- Participates in market research, validate research, client surveys and analysis to identify new opportunities for leadership consideration
- Supports operations and sales to ensure consistent execution of products for each client type.
- Aids sales and marketing to ensure market ready strategies, messaging, tools and pricing are aligned with client’s needs and corporate strategies
- Uses industry and product knowledge to provide smart, operationally sound recommendations, working to uncover inefficiencies and improve client results
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, marketing, or a related field required.
- Additional education/certifications in product management, product life cycle or project management focus, preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years’ of progressively responsible experience in a healthcare, product development or marketing
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively lead in a team environment and deliver successful results.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple projects to meet strategic objectives.
- Outstanding communication, leadership, organizational, planning and execution skills.
- Ability to develop schedules for each phase of the development process and bring product development programs to a successful conclusion.
- Expert level PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective positive human relations skills including tact, diplomacy, and ability to work with all levels of staff and leadership.
