2 years of experience in a high volume private practice specialty setting
Strong experience answering phones
Registering patients
Scheduling appointments
Verifying insurance and obtaining pre-authorizations
Working knowledge of medical office referrals
Documenting and updating patient information in EMR
Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10
Strong customer service skills
Duties
The duties of the medical office call center candidate include but are not limited to the following:
Answer phones
Assist callers as needed
Verify insurance and obtain pre-authorizations
Ensure accurate referrals
Respond to inquiries over the phone and in writing
Register patients
Schedule appointments
Review CPT and ICD-10 codes for accuracy
