Medical Biller - Denial Specialist
Gaithersburg MD
MUST:
Strong revenue cycle and reimbursement experience
Experience with ICD10, HCFA/HCPCS and CPT (A must)
5 years experience within a healthcare environment
Experience following up on denials and resubmitting claims
Experience reviewing EOBs
DUTIES:
The duties of the Denial Specialist candidates include but are not limited to the following:
Handle reimbursements for submitted claims to third party payers
Determine reason for denials or partially paid claim.
File appeals
Requests Rebill/Corrections
Contact payer by phone or online payer
Routes denial s to appropriate departments
Transfer unpaid balance to patient once determined patient responsibility.
Reviews EOBs
Processes Payer changes if update or change is needed
