Position: Material Handler - Level 3
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 6 months contract
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
Shift: Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Mon-Thurs)

Pre-Employment Requirements:
Must pass a criminal background check (7-year felony sex offender)
Must pass a pre-employment drug test (10 panels for recreational drugs and opiates)
Must be legally authorized to work for any U.S based employers
MVR will be needed at pre-hire and every 6 months after that
Job Description:
immediate opening for Level 3 Material Handler in Charlotte, NC. to support a gas meter project. In this position, you will monitor warehouse inventory as well as manage warehouse staff to ensure that products are stored and shipped out in an accurate, efficient manner.
\n- Oversee all warehouse logistics
- Supervise and direct warehouse staff; put worker safety as a top priority
- Assigns tasks to warehouse personnel including inbound unloading, outbound staging and loading, verifying and labeling of freight
- Track and account for all incoming and outgoing products
- Coordinates with Inventory / Logistics Manager on the disposition of damaged shipments and inventory that does not pass testing.
- Documents all assets for tracking.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; with the use of the WOMS.
- Ensures that all assets are tracked and documented via Meter Tracking System (MTS)
- Accountable for maintaining adequate assets for deployment including tools, equipment, PPE, inventory and communicates needs with Inventory / Logistics Manager
- Maintains assigned tool inventory etc. for technician's tasks and vehicles.
- Reconciles new and legacy inventory weekly and performs a full reconciliation monthly
- Coordinates fleet maintenance and upkeep of fleet
- Confirm proper and timely delivery of products
- Perform various inventory counts; order supplies and goods as needed
- Ensuring the warehouse is setup for delivery and use of inventory.
- Accurate Bills of Lading to accompany every job; calculates insurance as needed, distributes copies to all the appropriate stakeholders.
- Work Order Management System (WOMS), reviews the daily schedule and prioritizes and assigns jobs to specific employees to ensure orders are ready per shipping schedule
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Oversees the cross dock set up once location is designated.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable safety policies and procedures.
- Ensures cleanliness of the facility and all cross docks.
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Responsible for all aspects of inventory control for area from receipt through installation or via return to Honeywell/ Duke Energy
- Collects, tracks, and coordinates with Inventory / Logistics manager on materials to be returned to utility or manufacturer (RMA).
- Ensures that all quarantined specifications are met precisely.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business management or related field preferred
- Previous management experience in a warehouse position
- Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
- Previous WOMS and MTS experience
- Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training and operate machinery safely per company protocol.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Suite and data entry systems
- Physical stamina, able to work long hours on one’s feet and lift 30 pounds
- Excellent organization and efficient time-management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- He will be required to drive the fleet vehicles locally for maintenance, buy office supplies, tools, etc.
- Will be driving company vehicle
