Job Summary:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the PACU department. As an RN, you will apply the nursing process to provide patient care, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and document patient care in the medical record. Critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
Provide patient care within the RN scope of practice defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
Teach patients and their families about the care process.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in the medical record.
Demonstrate effective teaching skills.
Respond to patient crisis/emergency situations.
Utilize computer skills for internet access, word processing, and electronic medical record documentation.
Adhere to standard precautions for infection control.
Participate in on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon.
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtain within 6 months).
American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course card (or obtain within 1 year).
Specialty certification (CPAN or equivalent) preferred.
Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 5 years preferred.
Additional Information:
Potential weekend rotation.
Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), BLS (AHA).
The candidate must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Excellent airway management skills are necessary.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in using computers and electronic medical record systems.
Salary and Benefits:
Annual Pay Range: $83,200 - $108,160
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus and Potential Relocation Assistance.
