At Quality Communications we have dedicated ourselves to providing quality services and products to our customers before, during, and after the installation process. Our technicians play a key role in maintaining this goal, by offering a comprehensive skill set in the telecommunications industry, maintaining project productivity, and creating a safe on-site work environment. Technicians will be responsible for performing job duties within the structured cabling installation process, including, but not limited to, installation of cable pathway systems, pulling/installing cable, terminations, testing cable for connectivity, and labeling.
TECHNICIAN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation of Category 5e, 6, and 6A structured cabling, fiber optics, and audio/visual cabling
- Pulling cable, terminating jacks, testing, and labeling
- Basic understanding of industry terminology
- Adhere to all required project safety requirements
- Must have basic telecommunication hand tools
- Comply with company weekly and daily paperwork requirements (timesheets, daily reports, etc.)
- Flexible in scheduling and available to work nights and weekends if needed
- Must demonstrate a positive and professional work environment with coworkers and customers
- Must demonstrate accountability and reliability
ADDITIONAL NOTES
- Probationary period of 60 days
- Applicant must be able to pass a drug and physical screening as well as background requirements
- Applicant must be available to travel locally and out of state for various work site locations
