Job Summary: This position is responsible for all construction activities on assigned telecommunication sites and assisting in all aspects of cell site construction including; planning, budgeting, safety, and coordination of site-specific closeout documentation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a point of contact between project management and construction execution
- Provide oversight during construction of assigned sites and ensure compliance with all carrier specifications
- Responsible for customer satisfaction and the fulfillment of customer expectations
- Interpret construction drawings and RFDS to create an order of magnitude
- Create bill of materials based upon the scope of work and construction plans in advance of deployment
- Coordinate and track site material delivery and return
- Coordinate work authorizations and purchase orders
- Report project status and performance data to Senior Management as required
- Establish, manage, and maintain subcontractor relationships
- Monitor trouble tickets and work with the Outside Construction Managers and subcontractors to resolve
- Submit daily reports to appropriate customers
- Review all site specific closeout documentation for accuracy and ensure timely submission
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in construction or engineering or equivalent work experience
Experience:
- (5) years’ microwave and wireless site construction experience
- (1) years’ construction management experience
Certifications:
- First Aid and CPR
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training
Technical Skills:
- Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Working knowledge of the wireless infrastructure development process, site acquisition, zoning, permitting, civil construction, and RF equipment installation
Soft Skills:
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Superior time management skills; must be able to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgement, and solve problems
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
- Ability to work with all levels of management and staff
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
- Must be able to sit at a desk and/or work on a computer for 6-8 hours per day
- May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
