Job Summary: This position leads the Quality Assurance department and is accountable for all quality related activities for the company. Acts as delegated Quality Manager for ISO/AS Quality Management System. Ensures strict adherence to Program and Customer requirements in the design, manufacturing, and testing of products.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain an organization with the responsibility and authority to detect and evaluate quality, reliability, process, and product problems.
• Manage Receiving & Inspection, In-Process Inspection, and Quality Assurance staff.
• Manage Quality staff and provide support for the engineering and manufacturing operations.
• Accountable for developing, implementing and managing the Quality Management System, including third party registration.
• Provides the administrative and technical oversight for product, conformance to specifications and process quality measurement.
• Develop Quality Management System policies, procedures and processes, and implement best practices.
• Develops, implements and manages quality systems designed to ensure products and services meet customer requirements.
• Responsible for managing internal audits, external audits, quality inspections, training and supplier quality.
• Provides quality metrics necessary to determine baseline levels and progress toward continuous improvement.
• Works closely with the PMO and Manufacturing on Performance, Cost and Schedule impacts for nonconformances and corrective actions.
• Responsible for coordination with customers' quality representatives to provide maximum customer satisfaction with the products produced and delivered.
• Maintain a system to objectively review and analyze nonconformances and lead company activities associated with MRB.
• Develop and maintain a supplier qualification program, conduct supplier qualifications, track supplier issues, and drive supplier corrective actions to closure.
• Maintain quality records and documents available for internal and external review and use.
• Maintain a metrology system traceable to established standards and capable of calibration and repair of measurement equipment.
• Lead Continuous Improvement activities related to Quality Management System, including implementation of new software.
• Lead outside audits by direct customers, third parties, and government agencies.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent.
Experience: 5 years of related experience in Quality Assurance Management.
Other: Demonstrates strong leadership skills. Manages time efficiently. Exhibits ability to multitask effectively. Is familiar with basic word processing software and range of Microsoft Suite programs. Pays close attention to detail. Demonstrates strong organizational skills. Exhibits broad knowledge of company’s mission and production goals. Demonstrates knowledge of legal guidelines and requirements for daily production. Exhibits awareness of proper safety procedures in the workplace. Demonstrates ability to think creatively. Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Works well with a team. U.S. EXPORT CONTROLS
As a U.S. defense manufacturer, Quantic TRM is required to safeguard U.S. defense-related and other export-controlled articles, technologies, and services from unauthorized access, export, or re-export.
The transfer of U.S. export-controlled articles, technologies, or services (including manufacturing processes) to individuals or entities that do not qualify as “U.S. persons,” as defined by 22 CFR 120.62, is prohibited without prior authorization from the appropriate U.S. government agencies, such as the Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC).
Under 22 CFR 120.62, a “U.S. person” is defined as a lawful permanent resident as per 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20), or a protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). It also includes any corporation, business association, partnership, society, trust, or other entity that is incorporated to do business in the United States, as well as governmental entities at the federal, state, or local levels. It does not include foreign persons as defined in § 120.63.
